- Make a written RTI-01 application or letter to the information officer and receive an acknowledgment of receipt.
- You will be informed as soon as possible, in any case within 14 days, whether the information relevant to your request can be provided.
- If the Commission decides to provide you with the requested information, it will notify you if a prescribed fee is payable. If you have to pay to get the information, you will be provided with the information within 14 days on payment of the fee or free of charge if you do not have to pay the fee.
- If it is difficult to provide the information within 14 days after payment of fees, the information officer will give you the information you requested within an additional period of not more than 21 days stating the reasons for extending the said period.
- In cases where requests for information concern the life and personal liberty of a citizen, the response to the request will be made within 48 hours of receiving the request.
