*Ganegama Sri Saranankara Thera Memorial Award for the Best Literary Criticism*
Literary Criticism Competition – Open
(This competition is an open competition and anyone of any age group residing in any part/district of the island can participate)
The criticism should be done in Sinhala language and should not be less than 1200 words and not more than 1500 words.
For the criticism, any work from the following works, which have been awarded and named as the best works at the leading award ceremonies in Sri Lanka in the years 2024 and 2025, can be criticized and each person should submit only one criticism.

©️ Understanding of contemporary literary trends.
©️ Social and political perspective.
©️ Language and narrative strategies.
©️ Looking at the work from a new perspective.
The following will be judged.
The Ganegama Sri Saranankara Thera Memorial Award and Prize for the best literary criticism will be awarded, and prizes and certificates will be awarded for the 10 best reviews.
The submitted reviews will be judged by a recognized evaluation committee and the selected winners will be awarded awards, prizes and certificates at the Baddegama Pradeshiya Sabha Literary Festival to be held at the end of the year.
