It is a great privilege to address you through the Baddegama Pradeshiya Sabha website and I express my gratitude to all of you, the citizens of Baddegama, for electing me as the Chairman of the Pradeshiya Sabha.
I am proud to state that we have already embarked on the noble mission of creating a free, happy and prosperous life for all the people living within the Baddegama Pradeshiya Sabha jurisdiction under the theme of “A Rich Country – A Beautiful Life”.
In pursuit of rapid economic development, long-term and medium-term plans have been prepared to obtain government assistance, provincial council assistance and non-governmental organizations to meet the needs of the entire population in the jurisdiction and to generate new income.
I would like to remind you that as a local government institution, the Baddegama Pradeshiya Sabha Head Office and the Wanduramba and Thelikada Majuwana Sub-Offices are playing a major role in improving the living standards of the entire people by providing library facilities, free Ayurvedic dispensary facilities, crematorium services, galley bowler services, and water supply services.
At the divisional level, an amount of Rs. 1,500,000.00 has been allocated for each division for development activities and plans have been made to spend that money to cover all the service areas that a Pradeshiya Sabha should cover.
I expect your constant support in achieving the vision of becoming the best Pradeshiya Sabha in the island in the near future by carrying out these development activities, and I hope to provide you with our efficient service to achieve the goals and objectives that need to be achieved.
