The 2024 Grade 5 Scholarship Appreciation Program for the Baddegama Pradeshiya Sabha Area, organized by the Baddegama Pradeshiya Sabha Public Library, was held today (October 09, 2025) at the Baddegama Town Hall under the patronage of the Hon. Governor of the Southern Province, Mr. Bandula Harischandra. At this event, awards and certificates were presented to 210 children who passed the 2024 Grade 5 Scholarship Examination, and 04 children from the Baddegama Pradeshiya Sabha Area who achieved special achievements were also recognized. Venerable Dhammawansa Thero, the Governor’s Media Secretary, Assistant Commissioner of Local Government Mrs. Anupika Mudalige, the Chairman of the Baddegama Pradeshiya Sabha Mr. Lalith Senanayake, the Vice Chairman Mr. Saman C. Liyanage, the members of the Council, the Divisional Secretaries of Baddegama and Wanduramba, and the principals and parents of the schools in the area participated in this event.
