According to the Local Council Act No. 15 of 1987, Baddegama Local Council established on January 1, 1988, has been meeting the service needs of the people living in an area of 112 square kilometers for 32 years. As a local government body, the Baddegama Pradeshiya Sabha head office and Waduramba and Thelikada Marjuana sub-offices will provide library facilities, free Ayurvedic dispensary facilities, crematorium services, gallibauser services, water supply services and fire fighting facilities, including street lighting etc. to improve the living conditions of the people.
